조명을 단순히 밝히는 기능적 도구가 아니라, 도시의 감각을 설계하고 공간의 표정을 만들어내며, 사람과 장소 사이에 새로운 관계를 제안하는 매개로 바라봅니다.
빛이 닿는 공간과 그 주변 환경의 관계에 주목하고, 그 사이 어딘가 존재하는 조명 환경의 균형과 감각을 디자인의 출발점으로 삼습니다.

Design Lab Flare Inc. is a lighting design agency specializing in urban, landscape, and spatial lighting.
We see lighting not merely as a functional tool for illumination, but as a medium to shape the city’s sensibilities, define the expressions of spaces, and propose new relationships between people and places.
Our design begins with a focus on the relationship between light and its surrounding environment, seeking a balance and sensory harmony that exists somewhere in between.
Through lighting, we aim to bridge the gap between cities and people, between spaces and experiences.
Collaborating with architects, artists, and various creators, we craft sustainable and sensorial lighting environments.

Philosophy
사람은 조명을 단순히 ‘밝다’ 혹은 ‘어둡다’는 수치로만 인식하지 않습니다.
공간에 스며드는 빛의 양, 그림자의 움직임, 공기의 결이 어우러질 때 비로소 우리는 ‘편안하다’, ‘기분 좋다’, ‘아늑하다’는 감각을 느낍니다.
우리는 빛과 그림자가 만들어내는 공기의 분위기, 그 섬세한 감도를 설계하는 디자이너 집단입니다.
조명은 기능적 요소를 넘어서, 공간의 감정과 정체성을 완성하는 언어라고 믿습니다.
또한 우리는 에너지와 조명의 관계에 있어서도 깊은 책임감을 가지고 있습니다. 많은 빛을 무조건 채우는 것이 아닌, 공간의 목적과 특성에 꼭 맞는 위치와 양의 빛을 계획적으로 배치하는 것이 조명디자인의 본질이라고 생각합니다.
기술의 발전은 환영하지만, 그보다 더 중요한 것은 그 기술을 어떤 감성으로, 어떤 이야기로 공간에 적용할 것인가입니다.
우리는 디자인적인 시선으로 에너지를 아끼고 감각은 살리는 지속 가능한 조명 환경을 구축하고자 합니다.
감각의 언어, 조명
People do not perceive lighting solely in terms of brightness or darkness.
It is when the amount of light seeping into a space, the movement of shadows, and the texture of the air come together that we truly feel a sense of comfort, pleasantness, and warmth.
We are a team of designers who craft the atmosphere of air shaped by light and shadow capturing that subtle sensitivity.
We believe lighting goes beyond functionality; it is a language that defines the emotion and identity of a space.
We also hold a deep sense of responsibility in the relationship between energy and lighting.
Rather than filling a space with excessive light, we believe the essence of lighting design lies in the intentional placement and amount of light, tailored to the purpose and character of the space.
While we welcome technological advancements, what matters more is how we apply those technologies with emotion, with narrative within a space.
With a design-driven perspective, we strive to create sustainable lighting environments that conserve energy while elevating the senses.
